Roadshow trucks designed for success.
Roadshow trucks designed for success.
Roadshow trucks don’t come off a conveyor belt assembly line. Well ours don’t because they are bespoke built! Whilst they may originate from a marketer’s lightbulb moment it takes a lot of creative and innovative work combined with a combination of many skills to transform and idea into a vision into a reality.
Why roadshow trucks benefit a marketing campaign.
An amazing array of activities from public services, fundraising, community involvement and product launches can all benefit from going out on the road in the form of a roadshow. Traditionally marquees and exhibition stands would be used and, whilst these have their uses, they are restricted by locations and weather and take up a lot of labour. Displays have to be continually set up and taken down which restricts what can be included and presented.
In so far as products and services requiring practical demonstrations go these traditional approaches are seriously restrictive.
The solution to all of these issues is to change approach and opt for a roadshow truck. Roadshow trucks offer so many benefits to the operator for they can go to where the target audience is. No more reliance on them coming to you.
In particular the truck can be designed to include permanent features that may be required; ranging from private office space, working demonstration equipment, media devices, and even cooking or catering facilities. In short it can be personalised to just what is required for your own campaign.
Limitations of a roadshow truck approach?
Well, the simple answer to such a question is there really are none, as a truck can be what you want for your project. It can be based on any of the following:
- Vintage vehicles such as the ever-popular Citroen H van.
- Ex mobile libraries.
- Standard panel vans such as the Ford Transit and Mercedes Sprinter.
- 3500 kgs Chassis cabs with boxed bodies from Fiat, Peugeot, or Citroen.
- 7500 kgs chassis cabs and larger from Volvo or MAN.
- Converted buses and coaches.
In short your campaign isn’t restricted by shape or size….there is so much to choose from and so many things we can do with each of these.
And incidentally, as the above list shows, you don’t have to be taking into account the expense of a new vehicle. For many, its not so much the cost of buying new but currently the length of time one has to wait for delivery! Very few roadshow campaigns can hang on for a year or two to await delivery of a new build. Hence at Multi Vehicle Technology one of our specialities is the location, supply and conversion of existing trucks.
Standard optional construction features
To enhance the flexibility and use of roadshow trucks we can add a wide range of features many of which we can make simple to operate via electronics or hydraulics:
- Swing out display panels and header boards provide increased space for messaging and information.
- Hinged canopies and platforms provide welcome entrances offering shelter from the weather.
- Entrance steps and wheelchair accessible ramps provide access for all. For larger vehicles we install built in lifts.
- Extension pods and gull wing extensions can be fitted to extend the floor space of the base vehicle.
- Doors and windows can be designed and fitted to suit the individual design.
- External Graphics and internal décor including painting and vinyl applications.
Services available on board a roadshow truck
Being on board a truck doesn’t mean you are restricted by the services available to you. We take an innovate approach to our work and whatever you need we can install.
- The truck can be linked to power via a land line or have an onboard generator fitted. Many of our clients prefer to rely upon battery power and this plus other new technologies are one of our areas of expertise.
- Potable water supplies are a common requirement and we can install either fixed or removable tanks.
- For catering roadshows which also include sampling campaigns we can provide fully certified gas installations.
- Sound systems including public address are frequently required.
- Last but by no means least is the provision of internet access. We can install such communication systems for all requirements.
Legal matters concerning our roadshow trucks
Where any changes that we make to an existing vehicle, or the build of a new one, which needs to be Inspected and Approved under the Individual Vehicle Approval Regulations (IVA) you can be assured that MVTech will obtain the correct Certification Approvals that are required.
