For those looking for a mobile library we have some rather exciting news. Building upon our Leicester Carriage Builders heritage https://www.multivehicletechnology.co.uk/blog/mobile-library-manufacture/ we are delighted to be launching a new smaller style 7200 kgs model, which we know from many conversations and form our own experience will satisfy many of todays’ requirements. This new design will provide a well-built, versatile and cost effective mobile library.
For those who have been engaged in providing mobile library services over a number of years I am sure that our long LCB history and solid reputation for producing larger mobile libraries for sale will be well known. Whilst in truth we have in the past produced these smaller 7000 kgs models on request our reputation has been built up more on the larger coach built designs which are in operation throughout the country.
But times change and we have decided to use our growing expertise in the build of exhibition vehicles to focus our attention on producing a standard 7200 kgs mobile library for sale here in the UK. That said I must stress that whilst I use the word “standard” I happily confess this is not quite true, in that we will of course custom design both exterior features and interior layout to your own bespoke requirements…as we always have done and always will do.
So yes there will be:

Iveco Daily 70C18 Chassis Cab
Whilst we build our mobile libraries, and indeed all of our other vehicle types, on a range of base chassis our choice for this new style mobile library for sale model is the Iveco Daily 70C18 https://www.iveco.com/uk/products/pages/new-daily-cab.aspx#overview
We have selected the 4750 mm wheelbase option.
Whilst a fully written specification is available upon request from the contact points given below I outline here just a few of the key features:
General Construction
Rear of cab cut out to provide walk through.
Body length adjusted to your requirements.
Body constructed from 17 mm GRP lightweight composite panel.
Entrance
Electrically operated double plug door weatherproof door with step well.
Wheelchair accessibility
The entrance is fitted with a PLS (Passenger Lift Services) which is lift mounted under the chassis.
Storage lockers and access panel
A range of under-floor lockers provide storage and facilitate services.
All locker doors and access panels are waterproof sealed.
Windows and ventilation
Two off windows are fitted with toughened safety bronzed glazing.
Entrance door is also fitted with similar glazing.
Two large manually operated glass roof vents.
Electrical system
The 240v electrical installation incorporating sockets and switches is undertaken to comply with IEE Wiring Regulations and then tested and certified accordingly.
A 20 metre heavy duty 16 amp land line cable is supplied.
12 volt sealed gel batteries are included.
Heating is provided via an Eberspacher diesel heating system.
Appropriate lighting is provided.

Floor covering to choice with entrance mat.
Bench seating.
A main counter.
Computer monitor mounting bracket.
Folding chairs.
Book spinners.
Library shelving to include display shelving.
Safety equipment
First aid kit.
Fire extinguishers.
Safety and information signage
Wide range of safety signage and information notices.
Exterior waterproof notice board.
Finishing trims and colours
Wall, lining, carpet tiles, wood finishes, shelving, bench seat upholstery and handrails to be bespoke to your choices.
Whole Vehicle Type Approval Certification
Each and every vehicle we produce, including this new style mobile library for sale, is subjected to an independent IVA (Individual Vehicle Approval) certification inspection and therefore come with documented Type Approval Certification
Alternative smaller sizes of mobile library for sale
In addition to this 7,500 kgs model we also offer versions at 3,500 kgs, 5,000kgs and 6,500 kgs for those of you who may require a smaller vehicle to provide the particular service you have in mind.
