I suspect that the difference in current times being that the traditional driving from street to street, and door to door, is more past than present with the new approach being more to park up at selected locations (especially at outdoor events) where a large footfall can be expected. I find that those selling primarily to trade outlets have great success using their customer’s car parks as a means to sell direct to their customer whilst also generating end user sales.

Every mobile retail van is an individual design

There is no limitation on the size, shape and model that can be put to this important use.  With short, medium and long wheel base vans being the versatile work horses whilst chassis cab models with bodies of 4 to 5 metres proving very popular for many as these offer more square footage and good internal headroom.

Although I have used the terminology “van” in the headline of this blog I should mention that converted buses, transformed mobile libraries and trailers are just as popular for retailing and showroom activities.

American Sweets, Candy, Soda and so much more at the So Sweet Online Sweet Shop!

SoSweet are a second generation family-run business with over three decades of retail experience stocking an endless range of American sweets, Soda drinks, American energy drinks, snacks, hard candy and chocolate from the very best brands including  Cheetos, Jolly Rancher, Fanta, Calypso, Hershey’s, Reese’s Sour Patch Kids and M&Ms.  Pretty much have all the American sweets and treats you could possibly dream of!

Although having seven well established stores in the South West, plus a strong on-line presence, they took the plunge and recently purchased a mobile retailing van from us.  And form feedback it seems to have been all sweet success.

Their vehicle of choice was a chassis cab fitted with box body.  To this we fitted a hinge up canopy and banner board combined with a hinged down entrance platform.

Along the length of the platform we created a set of very simple access steps.  The whole design is both simple in practical set up terms and simple from a visual point of view.  But “simple” is so often the key to success! Whilst we do enjoy a creative challenge we also know that back to basics is very often the best course of action to recommend.

The interior is fitted out as a pick and mix store would be and I can say little more than the photos show.

Apart from to mention that with a corporate identity as stunning as that of SoSweet……..who needs a complicated build!

We source the vehicle

The right choice of mobile retail van is essential to your success so we take great care in sourcing the right vehicle, be it new or second hand, to provide the right solution for each client. We take into account not just the budget but payload, functionality and driving licence requirements. Wherever practically possible we always recommend staying under 3500 kgs plated vehicle weight to avoid the need for specialist driving licence, tachograph and operator’s licence.
