Mobile gaming vans
When the first mobile gaming vans were introduced to the UK by Gamewagon Ltd they launched a unique business venture……and inadvertently created an entirely new industry keen to follow their lead. Whilst their vehicles were quite naturally called Gamewagons others were soon to follow into this new and exciting market generated new terminology such as Gaming Buses, Gaming Trucks and more, not to forget Gaming Vans!
So, what is a mobile gaming van?
The mobile gaming vans that we have created are based on extra-long wheelbase panel vans fitted with an extra high roof to maximise internal floor space and height. Most van manufacturers offer models of this size within their ranges with, for us, the Mercedes Sprinter being the preferred model although other makes are just as good for the task. We have great relationships with vehicle manufacturers and van dealers which enables us to supply both new and pre-owned vehicles unless you wish to supply us with your own purchase.
The exterior of the mobile gaming van always features a full vibrant and eye-catching branding in the form of a vinyl wrap featuring computer gaming characters.
Open the rear doors and the interior is a kaleidoscope of colours and multi coloured nood enhancing LED lighting with stylish seating and wall mounted monitors being the most striking feature. The overall effect is to create a haven for those who enjoy the environment and the very image of computer-based gaming.
How is a mobile gaming van used?
Our mobile gaming vans are constantly changing to keep up with latest technological developments and are state of the art vehicles packed full of the latest computer and gaming consoles in which players can choose and play any of the most popular games of the day. In short, theses vans provide the ultimate in gaming experiences and, being mobile, provide this exciting experience where and when client gamers require them.
Typical equipment contents include:
Minimum of four screens inside (with a maximum of 8) and often a single screen facing outwards.
X Box, Nintendo and PlayStation consoles.

Creative design
Members of our team have been involved in the design of gaming vans since they created the very first one for Gamewagon and as, with all our bespoke vehicle builds, each new van is unique to an individual client. We would not dream of churning out the same exhibition vehicle for two different clients and similarly we insist on creating individualised concepts for each gaming vehicle we produce.
How we go about a new mobile gaming van project
The first consideration is the number of gamers an operator wants to seat. Those targeting children’s parties tend to want maximum seating for up to twenty whilst those gaming businesses targeting corporate events and weddings may well be happy to aim for much less.
With seating specified we look at the style required, and this can range from basic bench design to a more comfortable and stylish upholstery design. Our clients will specify the number of monitors required but this usually varies between four large or eight smaller ones.
Bearing in mind that gaming vans are constantly on the move and very often travelling over todays pot hole riven roads the gaming consoles such as the X Box and PS5 plus headsets and ancillary equipment need to travel in secure housings and for this purpose we build in padded storage cupboards with worktop, where consoles and other equipment can be placed during as required during gaming.
All of our electrical installations are fully tested and independently certified. Safety is a high priority in all our van conversions and its for this reason we always fit emergency lighting and fire extinguishers within gaming vehicles.
We offer a full one stop shop service in that we can design your branding with you and then supply, and apply, external graphics which, for mobile gaming vans, is normally a full vinyl wrap.
And if you require something different in the way of optional extras then you only have to ask!
