Mobile Veterinary Surgery
Why go to the expense of opening a branch surgery when you can have a surgery move around in several different areas for a fraction of the cost? If you wish to expand your business or start a new one from scratch then a mobile surgery is possibly the answer.
Although our surgeries are mostly bespoke builds we do have a standard layout which has proven to be a good starting point for our clients to build upon.
Based on the ever popular Fiat Ducato (or similar make) the drivers cab has three seats, is comfortable and well appointed.
With access via the large sliding door located to the nearside. There is plenty of room to move about within the vehicle, even with the cabinets and equipment in place, and there is an abundance of headroom, for even the tallest occupants.
The vehicle floor, walls and ceiling are insulated and lined with energy absorbing, chemical resistant linings, creating a safe, easy to clean and hygienic environment.
To the rear of the surgery is a full height storage unit featuring a full width shelf which is ideal for instruments and a handy place for needle containers and waste.
Forward of this, to the offside, is the location for the adjustable height consulting table, with supporting equipment, such as anaesthetics, scavaging and even X ray, all wall mounted for ease of use. A standard examination lamp is positioned above the table.
Along the rest of the offside is a work top with wall cupboards above and storage below providing a position for an oxygen concentrator plus cupboards and drawers. Vaccines and other temperature sensitive items can be stored in a free standing chill box which can, for convenience, be removed each evening.
Also located under this worktop is a large recovery cage below which is a stowage location for scales. For smaller patients there are 3 removable pet carriers secured above the cab.
A full height cupboard is located to the nearside beside which we locate a stainless steel sink with hot and cold mixer tap. The water storage, pump and heater are located underneath.
There is a powerful ventilation fan in the ceiling along with a roof mounted air conditioning system which allows for a consistent working temperature to maintained all year round.
There are also a host of additional options that can be fitted to the surgery including, for example, a 3 sided retractable awning which creates a dry waiting area for clients.
Most minor procedures can be carried out away from the practice but should the patient need hospitalisation then the surgery can also double up as a transport ambulance.
